The Parent Visa (subclass 103) allows parents to permanently live in the country with a child who is already settled in there. The visa requires a sponsor and passes the Balance of Family Test. The application process is lengthy, however, the long-term benefits make it a worthwhile endeavour for many families. Applicants should consider temporary options and financial aspects.
