Student Visa

The student visa (Subclass 500) allows you to stay in Australia on a temporary basis as a student and pursue a full-time course from a recognised institution. To obtain this visa, one must prove their intent to genuinely be in Australia temporarily, only for studies.

Partner Visa

he Partner Visa allows the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen (the sponsor) to live in Australia.

Key Eligibility Requirements

• Both you and your sponsor need to be at least 18 years old.
• If you are married, your marriage must be valid under Australian law.
• If you are de facto partners, your relationship must be at least 12 months long.
• Both of you must meet the health character requirements.
• You also need to prove the genuinity and stability of your relationship. This can be done through various means like finances, social aspects, etc.

Guardian Visa

This visa allows the parent, legal guardian or relative of an international student younger than 18 years of age to stay in Australia.

Key Eligibility Requirements

• The guardian must be the parent, or have custody, or be a relative who is 21 years or older and has written approval from the student’s custody holder to be the guardian.
• Must intend to only temporarily stay in Australia
• Have evidence of financial capacity to be able to afford accommodation, general welfare, and necessities for themselves and the student throughout the stay.
• Must not owe money to the Australian government or have arranged for repayment.
• The guardian should not have any visa refusals or cancellation in the past.
• Must meet the health and character requirements.
• Must maintain a health insurance throughout the stay.

Employer Sponsored Visa

The employer-sponsored visa allows Australian employers to hire skilled workers from overseas to fill roles they cannot source locally while simultaneously offering qualified foreign workers with an opportunity to work in Australia if their skills are in demand.

For Employers:

• Must either be an approved Sponsor or have a labour agreement.
• The nominated position must be genuine, full-time position.
• The salary offered must meet the market value for the occupation.
• Some visas that are specifically for regional areas and may have additional requirements.

For Employees:

• Age must be under 45 years.
• Must have experience of working full-time in the nominated occupation for at least 3 years.
• A positive skills assessment might also be required.
• Must be competent in english and meet health and character requirements.
• Might only be allowed to work for sponsoring employer.

Family Visa

The Australian Family Visa allows eligible individuals to sponsor their parents, dependent children, or relatives to join them in Australia on a temporary or permanent visa.

Temporary Activity Visa

This visa allows you to enter Australia for approved special programs such as youth exchange, cultural enrichment, community programs, school language assistants, gap year school volunteering, or more. Depending on the event, you can stay in Australia for up to three months or more.

Key Eligibility Requirements

• If your stay is scheduled for 3 months or less, you might need an invitation from the organisation conducting the program. For stays longer than 3 months, an approved sponsor is required.
• You need to submit a GTE.
• You must be capable of funding your entire stay.
• Maintain adequate health insurance throughout your stay.

Skill Assessment

The General Skilled Migration (GSM) visa is a point-based system designed to attract skilled professionals to Australia, requiring a skills assessment by a relevant authority.

Key Eligibility Requirements

• Have been issued an electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCoE) Certificate.
• Meet genuine temporary entrant requirement.
• Have sufficient funds for airfares, course fees and living costs.
• Have adequate English language proficiency.
• Meet the health and character requirement.
• Have an acceptable Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
• Have a valid passport.

EOI

An Expression of Interest (EOI) is a method of showing your interest in applying for a skilled visa to migrate to Australia. EOI is a very important part of applying for certain Australian work visas.

Key Eligibility Requirements

• Successful EOIs receive visa application invitations or employment opportunities.
• High-ranking EOIs under Independent and Skilled Regional (Provisional) visas receive automatic invitations.
• State- and territory-sponsored visas nominate skilled workers.
• If selected, EOIs receive an invitation from SkillSelect system.
• If unsuccessful, EOIs stay in SkillSelect for up to two years.
• Applicants have 60 days to make their visa application.
