Associate membership to Australian Computer Society can be gained on completion of an accredited degree. Originally drafted to address Australia’s skill shortage and to increase the employability and fine-tune the skillset and knowledge of graduate international students by exposing them to industry experience, the program composes of a minimum 44 week training which includes 12 weeks of industry internship in the relevant stream. The procedure for securing Permanent Resident status includes an assessment procedure by a recognised authority mandated for work sponsorship or for migration purpose. Some of the positions which can be an added advantage in this procedure are Software Engineers, developers/programmers, business analysts, etc.
